Tapendra holds an MSc. in Energy Systems from FH Aachen/University of Applied Sciences, Germany and bachelor’s in industrial engineering from Thapathali Campus, Institute of Engineering. He has been working in the sector of renewable energy for around 11 years and is APMG (CP³P) Certified PPP Professional. As a director in Invest and Infra Pvt. Ltd, he provides evidence-based advice on program issues and develops and implements innovative practices, tools and processes to support delivery of program and stakeholder outcomes. As a consultant in Office of Investment Board Nepal (OIBN), he managed solar and hydro projects and was involved in the screening & due diligence, project development agreement, financial modality and project configuration determination of energy projects. 

At OIBN, he had worked as one of the core team members for the study on “Establishment of Chemical fertilizer Plant in Nepal”, preparation of pre-feasibility study report of solid waste and agricultural projects that were showcased in the Nepal Investment Summit 2019. He was bestowed with Token of Appreciation from the Rt. Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal in recognition of outstanding dedication and service to the Office of Investment Board Nepal. As a Project Officer in PEEDA, he developed new projects and concept notes such as solar powered cold storage, solar biomass hybrid system, solar wind hybrid system, pico-hydro technology and climate change & livelihood projects. During his master thesis & assignment in Germany, he had worked in ”Forschungszentrum Juelich GmbH” as a Student Research Assistant.
